Memento — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 07 September 2026

The short version

Memento does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers operated by us. Everything you put into Memento stays on your own device, and — if you turn on iCloud Sync — in your own private iCloud account. We have no access to any of it.

Where your data lives

Memento stores data in exactly two places: on your device, and — only if you enable iCloud Sync — in your own private Apple iCloud account. There is no third location. We operate no servers, no database, and no third-party analytics or advertising services, so no data of yours is ever transmitted to us or to anyone acting on our behalf.

Your content

The memories, occasions, and notes you add to Memento are stored on your device. We cannot see them, access them, or share them — they never reach us.

If you enable iCloud Sync, this content is also stored in your own private Apple iCloud account so it can appear on your other devices. That account is yours: it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, we are not a party to it, and we cannot read or retrieve anything held there. Memento uses no other cloud service.

Deleting the app removes this data from that device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, your synced copy stays in your iCloud account until you remove it yourself (iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).

Google Calendar sync

If you choose to connect Google Calendar:

How we protect this data:

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content passes through our systems.

Children

Memento is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. Your data is already fully in your hands: on your device, and — if you enable iCloud Sync — in your own private iCloud account, which only you can access. You can delete any entry inside the app at any time, and you can remove synced data from iCloud through your device settings.

If you have questions about this policy or your rights under applicable law (including the GDPR), contact us at filip.mishevski@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes (for example, if a future feature changes how data is handled), the updated version will be posted at remembermemento.com/privacy-policy-and-terms-of-use with a new effective date.

Memento — Terms of Service

Effective date: 30 August 2026

By downloading or using Memento (the “App”), you agree to these terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the App.

3. Your content and your responsibility for it

Everything you add to the App is yours. It is stored on your device, and — if you enable iCloud Sync — in your own private iCloud account. Because we operate no servers and hold no copy of your data, we cannot recover it for you. If you delete the App with iCloud Sync turned off, or lose your device without a backup, your data is gone. Keeping backups, whether through iCloud Sync or your own device backup, is your responsibility.

4. Google Calendar (optional)

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy. iCloud Sync is likewise optional and subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of Google’s or Apple’s services. Details of how calendar data is handled are in the Privacy Policy above.

5. Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful, personal purposes. Don’t attempt to interfere with, abuse, or misuse the App or any connected service.

6. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the App or these terms; the current terms will be posted at remembermemento.com/privacy-policy-and-terms-of-use with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We may discontinue the App; your locally stored data remains on your device regardless.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
